Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped global economic activities, with Indonesia emerging as a dynamic digital economy in Southeast Asia. This study examines Indonesia's digital economic transformation trajectory and its implications for national economic growth. Employing library research, this study systematically analyzed 2020-2026 secondary data from peer reviewed journals, international reports, and academic documents retrieved via Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, and accredited national portals. Data collection involved identification, selection, thematic classification, and content analysis of literature. Results reveal three dimensions: (1) significant digital economic development, evidenced by growing internet penetration, expanding e-commerce, and proliferating digital financial services; (2) its dual nature, offering opportunities for productivity, market expansion, and financial inclusion, while posing challenges in infrastructure disparities, digital literacy gaps, and cybersecurity; and (3) positive implications for economic growth through transaction efficiency, new business models, digital investment, and national competitiveness. Findings suggest that optimizing the digital economy's contribution to growth requires sustained infrastructure investment, targeted human resource development, and adaptive, inclusive policies.
