Publication Ethics

H-Luminia: Education, Psychology and Social Behavior Research Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Ethical behavior is expected from all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

Authors are required to ensure that their manuscripts are original, accurate, and free from plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification of data. Any form of unethical research practice, including redundant publication or improper authorship attribution, is strictly prohibited. All sources must be properly acknowledged and referenced, and authors must ensure that their work does not violate copyright or intellectual property rights.

Editors are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the academic record. They evaluate manuscripts solely based on scholarly merit, relevance to the journal scope, and originality, without discrimination based on race, gender, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs. Editors must also ensure a fair and transparent peer-review process and take appropriate action in cases of suspected ethical misconduct.

Reviewers are expected to conduct objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts. They must maintain confidentiality regarding the manuscripts they review and avoid using any privileged information for personal advantage. Any conflicts of interest must be declared, and reviewers should decline assignments where impartial judgment cannot be guaranteed.

The publisher supports editorial independence and is committed to ensuring that ethical standards are upheld throughout the publication process. In cases of suspected misconduct, the journal follows COPE flowcharts and guidelines to investigate and resolve issues fairly, which may include correction, retraction, or rejection of manuscripts when necessary.
